VALENTINES DAY HOMEMADE BEAUTY PRODUCT GIFT SET

I made this beauty product as part of my homemade Valentines Day gift set. As a girl and maybe a bit of a romantic I always felt a little FOMO (fear of missing out) when it came to Valentines Day. A couple years ago and probably as I was devouring an entire box of heart shaped chocolates,  single me decided to start a little tradition of giving homemade (and inexpensive) beauty products to my friends as a way of showing my love. Who said Valentines Day can only be shared between couples? its not an exclusive club and I want in!!! Every year I change the products and this year I decided to share them with you. I'm going to be listing the products below along with creating separate posts for each recipe so you can make them too. These products are also a great idea if you are looking for gifts to give away to people who are attending baby showers and bridal showers as a thank you.

This year the products were:

Rosehip Hibiscus Tea Bath Salts - smells so good and is great to sooth sore muscles

Rose Petal Sugar Scrub - exfolates your dry skin leaving it soft, smooth and full of moisture

Organic Coffee and Activated Charcoal Face Mask and Exfoliant - purifies and cleans pours pulling toxins out of the skin and leaving the skin feeling hydrated, smooth and fresh.

If you are interested in making these products yourself check out my DIY page for the recipes! I hope you had as much fun making these and giving them away as I did! Please let me know your comments below or if you have any request!!!!! Id love to hear from you ♥ ♥ ♥

EYE LOOK - NUDE LOOK WITH WINGED LINER

I wore this eye look to a cooking competition I was competing in. I wanted to do something kind of simple and pretty that brought out my green eyes. It's not a very dramatic look so it is easy to get away with during the day but lets you still looks a little dressy. You guys know by now that I really like nude eye looks but I hope you still enjoy this one!!!

Here is what I did step by step to get this look:

Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly - I used this to set a base for my eyeshadow. It makes you eyelid one colour and takes away any redness you may have $26.00

Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow in the colour Bone - I use this all over to set the base. I also find that when you do this it is easier later to blend the eyeshadow colours on top. $32.68

Mac Eye Shadow Pan in Wood Winked - I started with this colour building up the crease and will be using this as a transition colour $10.00

Mac Eye Shadow Pan in Espresso -  I further darkened the crease with espresso but harshly, you want a nice transiton $10.00

Mac Eye Shadow Pan in Ground Brown - Lastly I used this colour directly in the crease to create a more harsh line$10.00

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Eye Shadow in the color Playa Del Pink - I used this all over the lid to create that shiny eyelid.  $23.00

I went back in with Mac Eye Shadow Pan in Wood Winked  followed by Mac Eye Shadow Pan in Ground Brown just to help transition Playa del Pink with the darker colors in the crease.

OFRA Eye Shadow and Highlighter in Bliss - I used this on the inner corner of my eye as well as along the inner lower lash to brighten up the look. $15.00

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper - I used this liner to define the upper lash line and make my wing. $28.39

Lastly I went back in with Mac Eye Shadow Pan in Ground Brown along the lower lash line to connect the wing I just put on to the light Ofra colour I used to highlight my inner eye. Make sure this blends nicely and has a dark to light transition from the outer to inner lower lash line.

Mac Cosmetics Fix Plus - Spayed this all over my face to make sure my makeup stays fresh for as long as possible. $26.00

Mac False Lashes Extreme Black Mascara - lastly I applied this on my lashes to make them darker and stand out more. I love this mascara! $27.00

On my eyebrows I used:

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in the shade Medium Brown $21.00

Benefit's Gimmie Brow in the shade Light/Medium $16.69

I am NOT an affiliated of any of these makeup companies however I do think these products are top notch and would recommend them to anyone!

If you want to see me do a tutorial on this look let me know below in the comments! Thanks guys xx

PRODUCT REVIEW - ULTRASONIC NEBULIZER (MISTERS) FROM SAJE

I have been meaning to do this review for sometime now.
A friend gifted me my nebulizer for my birthday in August and I loved it so much I got one for my friends mom.

Nebulizers are a kind of aromatherapy that you have probably encountered before if you have ever been to a spa. It cleanses the air of any odor or impurities and is very calming. I use mine often even without adding in any scented oils. I find that I sleep deeper and the air feels cleaner.  I often put mine on while doing my makeup or before bed.

So as I was saying I recently bought one for my friends mother’s birthday. I know that her job can be very stressful which occasionally can also bring on her insomnia or worse her vertigo. Since my nebulizer was so calming and relaxing I thought it couldn’t hurt…right?! Some scents are better then others if you are using it to help with vertigo so I would do some research first before picking one but my friends mom loved hers. She commented that she slept so deeply the first night that she used it that she was instantly hooked.

Well there you have it – all thumbs up.

The type of nebulizer that I was gifted and bought as my gift was a Saje. The great thing about this company is that they guarantee satisfaction - so if you are not happy with it you can return it, the scent as well (even if its been used) So how can it hurt? I believe the machine plus the scent was a total $100 ($70 for the machine and $15 for the scented oil plus taxes) but who knows they may have a great deal for Christmas ;)

Also I want to say that I am not an affiliate of this company and am benefiting in no way from doing this review. If you liked it or have your own comments about this products Id love to hear them down below xx

MAC - VOLCANIC ASH EXFOLIATOR

The Mac Volcanic Ash Exfoliator* is a sugar-based scrub with volcanic ash properties. Although most people use this product as an exfoliant I prefer to use it as a mask often putting it on and leaving it for 10 minutes before scrubbing it off. The reason why I do this is because volcanic ash has carbon and therefore charcoal properties, which are a natural filter and pulls impurities out of the skin. When you use this item for the first time it seems thick but quickly thins out when you add a bit of water. If you are going to use it as a mask as I did just dampen your hands to help you spread the product over your face, anymore then that would thin it out too much. I would recommend using this product no more then twice a week - over exfoliating is a thing!!!

I was overly surprised with how great my skin felt after I used this product and I am happy to recommend this product to everyone.

$34.50 CAN
